What is 50 FOR 50?

50 Grand

That's how much it'll take to rescue, rehabilitate or in some cases work proactively to prevent 50 people from being enslaved in human trafficking (Want to know how we got that amount? We thought so.). It's a big goal, but here's what I know about big goals: they often get a lot smaller as a lot of people take what they already have and give it. I need you to give, but not nearly as much as the 50 people who will taste freedom need you to give. $50,000 is a lot, but it's not nearly as expensive as allowing 50 lives to stay enslaved. Make a donation now!

The only way this event will be successful is if YOU help me spread the word, and the easiest way to do that is through a little tool that's been on your phone for years: the hashtag. Every time you share an image or post about this event, if you'd simply include #50FOR50 you'll allow the wonderful world of internet spiders to aggregate all of those posts whenever that hashtag is clicked. If you do it enough, who knows? Maybe we'll find #50FOR50 trending on Twitter or Facebook or both!

21 Million

Human trafficking is a form of modern slavery -- a multi-billion dollar criminal industry that denies freedom to 20.9 million people around the world. And no matter where you live, chances are it's happening nearby. From the girl forced into prostitution at a truck stop, to the man discovered in a restaurant kitchen, stripped of his passport and held against his will. All trafficking victims share one essential experience: the loss of freedom. - taken from the Polaris site on human trafficking
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
Edmund Burke

By the numbers

Steps I'll take
Calories I'll burn
Socks I'll wear
Women I'll free
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

Aaron’s Hands

Aaron’s Hands

Often we overlook children in poverty. They are too small, their rights are often unprotected. But God makes it clear that poor children require our urgent attention. That’s because poverty is an instrument of the enemy attacking a child’s self-esteem, family and future. But poverty doesn’t have to win.

From the United States, Aaron’s Hands serves as a support to a ministry (which must remain anonymous for the safety of those involved) which has provided over 1.5 million glasses of milk for thousands of children trapped in poverty in the slums of New Delhi, India. Every day 2,500 children are provided with a glass of milk. We have seen their lives changed forever.

Nutrition, health care, eduction and the gospel are weapons against poverty. Nurture a child and the effect of poverty goes away.

The A21 Campaign

The A21 Campaign

When confronted with the horrific statistics surrounding human trafficking, it is easy to agree on the fact that “someone should do something.” In 2007, A21 recognized the need to be that “someone” and committed to combat the injustice of human trafficking through rescuing one life at a time. After extensive research, planning, fundraising, more research, and relationship building, we opened our first shelter for survivors of human trafficking at the end of 2008 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Simply put, A21 exists to abolish injustice in the 21st century through a comprehensive system achieving preventative measures to help potential victims evade trafficking, victim protection through our shelters and aftercare program, prosecution of violators, and strategic partnerships.

A21 stands for abolishing injustice in the 21st century. Anyone can join; everyone can make a difference.

Justice Ministries

Justice Ministries

Justice Ministries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to combating sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of women, with a focus on rescue & housing. Our goal is to locate victims of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation, help them get out of their situation and into a safe place, facilitate an environment conducive to healing, and assist them in their transition to independence.

The buffalo is the symbol for Justice Ministries, because buffalo naturally defend and protect the females and the young in the herd by forming a perimeter around them when predators approach. At Justice Ministries, we want to provide a safe place for survivors of human trafficking.
