I’ve never experienced an earthquake, but I imagine that if everything around me started shaking, I would quickly find something that wasn’t, and hold on for dear life.

When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: “Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.” This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain. Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:26-28‬ ‭NLT, emphasis mine)

Everything is being shaken, and as it is, we can hold on to the King of a kingdom that isn’t shaken. We hold on through prayer, through worship, through gathering with other kingdom citizens. We hold on intentionally, knowing that our very survival depends on it.

When everything is shaken, what can’t be shaken is revealed, and those who run to that place will be saved.
