Reading Time: < 1 minute

We’ve all heard the saying that we should never say never, and while there is wisdom in that, there is at least one time that we can say never.

When God does.

That’s precisely the word that jumped off the screen at me when I read these words from Peter.

For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” (1 Peter‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭NIV, emphasis mine)

Shame is such a soul dagger, and the enemy of our soul wields it against us so effectively that we often end up taking it from his hands and using it on ourselves and others.

But there is no shame for those who trust in Jesus. He is the lifter of our heads when shame pushed our heads down. Lean on Him today. Trust your life — both future hopes and past regrets — to Him because the one who does that will never be put to shame.

Never means never, and it’s 100% okay to say it.
