Reading Time: < 1 minute

I heard this once and I never forgot it: the bigger the plane, the longer the runway.

It’s true for hopes and dreams, too. The bigger the dream, the longer the runway that dream needs.

So let me ask you, “How big are your dreams?”

Some dreams will require a lifetime of runway building to get them off the ground. In case you think that’s a statement about not being good enough, let me remind you that Jesus had a 30-year runway before His ministry took off for a 3-year flight.

That’s a 10:1 ratio of runway to flight. Ten to one. Are you willing to do that? Am I? Would I be willing to write for 10 years in obscurity for one book to take off? Is your dream worth that kind of investment?

I guess that all depends on how much we believe in the dreams that those planes are carrying.
